There are several institutions of higher learning including Hodges University, Keiser University, Nova Southern Technical Southeastern University, Rasmussen College, Fort Myers Technical College, and Southern Technical College. Schools are slightly above average compared to the rest of the country with the top schools being the Fort Myers High School, Cape Coral High School, and North Fort Myers High School. Trafalgar Elementary school comes in is one of the best elementary schools in Fort Myers.
